The "TINY 9" is Red Bear Trading's newest Style! It is modeled after the No 9 but the same size our Lil' Jazzer at .89" wide by 1.04" tall. This is a great style for players who like a small Jazz pick but want a little extra room at the top to for a better grip.

My favorite jazz 3 based pick

By: Miguel on 07/31/2024 11:17:39 AM

I LOVE RedBear picks and have been using them for a few years now. Coming from playing jazz 3s: I tried everything from lil jazzers, to big jazzer, etc. and I loved them all but I found for my hands at least the extra room at the top of a Tiny 9 was PERFECT. I’ve been playing for years and STILL this is my favorite pick brand to go to and it never fails. I’ve even got friends at work hooked on RedBear and some of my students!

True Jazz III shape.

This is the true Jazz III shape. Wider toward the top rather than the middle. This is the one you want if you're coming from the Jazz III. Get Grips.

Tiny 9 - the perfect size

By: Tollywood on 10/24/2019 07:18:47 PM

I have been using RedBear picks exclusively for years now and I simply cannot use any other picks. Period. They way they feel and the tone that they deliver is unequaled. When my first pick arrived, my wife scowled, “Let me see this $30 guitar pick”, so I obliged her and handed it over. She examined it closely and said, “Hmmm, it’s actually very nice. I like it.” I play the Heavy and Extra Heavy gauges, even though I had been a medium gauge player before RedBear changed my life. I’m not being dramatic. I need these picks to make me happy. I love the Big Jazzer and also the Little Jazzer, but sometimes I lose the top of the Big Jazzer and I need to readjust; it rotates. The little jazzer doesn’t have that problem but it’s not as full as I like at the top. Not enough to grab. Then along came the Tiny 9, and it is a perfect pick, allowing me more room to grab up top without having too much pick left to slip a little and rotate.
